The college library offers 8,456 volumes and 3,266 titles. We are subscribing for 8 Journals, 1 Magazine and 2 Newspapers also. A well-equipped library is a great asset to a college. It is useful for the students and teachers too. It helps to boost knowledge as well. A huge variety of book collection is available in our college library. It has almost all updated books on various subjects. A regular Librarian is available . The Students with ID cards are allowed to read books in the library or borrow books. It is also provided with an internet connection. The students are also provided with the facility of the National Digital Library (https://ndl.iitkgp.ac.in/) provided by AICTE.

Government Polytechnic for Women, Bheemunipatnam has an attached Hostel with Ground plus Two storied building which can accommodate 300-350 students. The Hostel is students managed hostel. Principal is the Warden of the Hostel and is responsible for the overall management of the Hostel. Two Deputy Wardens from the Faculty looks after the welfare of the students and accounts of the Hostel. The hostel staff consists of Hostel Manager, Accountant and other maintenance staff. Hostel rooms have cots, study table, chair and cupboards. Hostel is provided with electricity, water supply, common telephone, common TV room, etc. Adequate dining hall is available with a clean mess. Scholarship is also provided to the students by the government of Andhra Pradesh.
SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active-Learning for Young Aspiring Minds) is a programme initiated by Government of India and designed to achieve the three cardinal principles of Education Policy viz., access, equity and quality. The objective of this effort is to take the best teaching learning resources to all, including the most disadvantaged. SWAYAM comprises of nine national coordinators like AICTE, NIOS, NITTTR, IIMB, NPTEL, IGNOU, CEC, NCERT and UGC and offers 500 plus courses. The local chapter opens the window for all Faculty, staff and students to all these courses. This is done through a platform that facilitates hosting of all the courses, taught in classrooms from Class 9 till post-graduation to be accessed by anyone, anywhere at any time. All the courses are interactive, prepared by the best teachers in the country and are available, free of cost to any learner. More than 1,000 specially chosen faculty and teachers from across the country have participated in preparing these courses. The courses hosted on SWAYAM are in 4 quadrants – (1) video lecture, (2) specially prepared reading material that can be downloaded/printed (3) self-assessment tests through tests and quizzes and (4) an online discussion forum for clearing the doubts. Steps have been taken to enrich the learning experience by using audio-video and multi-media and state of the art pedagogy / technology.
